Abstract
In the last two decades there has been an increased recognition of the stress that jurors experience in undertaking jury service. This paper reports findings from Australian, New Zealand and American research on the sources and extent of juror stress, including physical and emotional symptoms of stress. The impact of jury service on the health of jurors may indicate the need for counselling and debriefing of jurors following a trial.
